Ilongga beauty queen Alexie Mae Caimoso Brooks is set to represent the Philippines at the Miss Eco International 2025 pageant in Egypt next month, carrying the nation’s pride on the global stage.

On Tuesday, 11 March, Brooks shared insights into her rigorous preparations, which include intensive question-and-answer training, pasarela walk practice and strengthening her advocacy for women’s empowerment.

She assured her supporters that she is not only physically but also mentally and emotionally prepared for the competition.

“We are known for our ‘pasabog’ moments, and we have plenty — especially in styling, on the looks and gown. There’s a lot to watch out for, and I’ll give it my best as usual, even more this time that I am representing our country,” Brooks said.

Considering it’s her first international pageant, Brooks acknowledged the pressure but considers it a privilege to represent the Philippines. She dedicates her journey to her late grandmother, Iloilo, and the nation.

Brooks believes her competitive nature and mindset will set her apart from other candidates.

“As an athlete, I am always competitive and have a winning mindset. I wake up every morning with positive affirmations. At this stage in my life, I have nothing to lose. Representing the Philippines is either going to be a lesson or another opportunity for me, and I’m really excited,” she added.

Determined to bring home the crown, Brooks vowed to deliver an outstanding performance and contribute to the Philippines’ strong record in international pageantry.

Asked about the possibility of competing again in Miss Universe Philippines, Brooks remains open to the idea. She previously represented Iloilo in Miss Universe Philippines 2024 and has expressed interest in joining more national pageants in the future.

For now, however, her full focus is on Miss Eco International 2025, which is set to take place in Egypt on 8 April.
