Callie Ahmee, the eldest daughter of Dimples Romana and Boyet Ahmee, has officially graduated from college.
She earned a Bachelor of Business and Enterprise, Major in Aviation Management from Southern Cross University in Gold Coast, Australia.
On Instagram, Wednesday, 16 April 2025, Dimples shared scenes from her daughter’s graduation ceremony, which took place the day before, 15 April.
She was accompanied at the venue by her husband, Boyet, and their household companion, Vilma Omid.
Dimples opened her heartfelt post with a verse from 1 Corinthians 15:10: “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace to me was not without effect. No, I worked harder than all of them—yet not I, but the grace of God that was with me.”
Both Dimples and Boyet were beaming with pride over their daughter’s achievement. As parents, they made sure to provide everything their children needed.
Letting their daughter live and study alone in a foreign country was far from easy—but seeing her success made it all worth it.
Dimples wrote: “@boyetahmee and I work hard, as a team, to make sure the kids have enough—not everything, but enough. Education, food, shelter, water, a family, a home. A bit of play and fun here and there. Adventures and misadventures. It was not easy letting Callie go then, and it isn’t easy now. But as we were looking over to see Ate @callieahmee finally graduating from college yesterday, living on her own here in Australia for a little over three years now, everything became worth it.”
They deeply admired Callie for pushing through and finishing her degree in a field often dominated by men. Dimples shared how she had witnessed her daughter’s transformation—from a shy child to a full-fledged pilot.
Describing her daughter, she said: "A young Filipina woman pursuing a career in a male-dominated field—doing it, making it. Dad and I are proud, and so is every person who’s watched you grow from that shy, quiet little girl to this amazing human being who makes her own choices and shows up every single day to chase her dreams.
For every doubt thrown at you, Ate, you let them talk. You didn’t talk back—you stayed in your lane, focused on your goals, and let your years of hard work and dedication speak for you."
Dimples also reflected on the challenges her daughter faced, saying Callie never gave up on anything. Now, she’s proven that all her efforts were worthwhile.
"You didn’t stop. You kept moving forward. You kept showing up. And the journey to get here may not have been easy—but nothing worth having ever really is.
Today, you’ve proven to them, Ate—to us, and more importantly, to yourself—that it can be done. That it’s possible to start with little and turn it into what may be our family’s greatest achievement yet.
You showed everyone that this family may work its hardest and fight its fiercest battles together, but without God’s grace, none of this would have been possible.
You made this miracle happen. You did this, Ate.”
She ended her post with emotion-filled emojis and a wish for Callie’s continued success:
“This family runs on God’s grace as its fuel—and nothing ever beats that. Soar high, Ate, We can’t wait to see what God will do next in your life.
Congratulations and big bear hugs for our unica, Christiana Amanda Lauren Romana Ahmee—Bachelor of Business and Enterprise, Major in Aviation Management, PPL, CPL, and IR-rated at 21 years old.”
Callie officially became a licensed commercial pilot in Australia in February 2024.
