Capacity Building for Legal and Social Advancement in the Philippines (CALESA) digital experts marks a milestone in the partnership between the Philippines and Spain and is a significant stride toward the fulfillment of the goals of the Strategic Plan for Judicial Innovations (SPJI) 2022-2027 to modernize the Philippine legal system – particularly in the areas of digital justice, artificial intelligence, digital content, and digital data management.
Also present during the visit was Racquel Vicente Andres, CALESA Digital partner and Support Judge in the Technical Office of the Supreme Court of Spain. CALESA Digital aims to support the efficient, high-quality, and ethical development and use of technology in the judiciary. A key feature of the program is the collaboration between Filipino and Spanish experts, who will produce in-depth analytical reports on the digitization of the administration of justice.
