
Senator Christopher “Bong” Go and senatorial candidate Erwin Tulfo maintain their lead in the latest survey conducted by Social Weather Stations (SWS).
The survey results show Go and Tulfo tying for first place with 42 percent of the vote each, followed by Ben “Bitag” Tulfo and former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, who are tied in third and fourth place with 34 percent each.
Senator Lito Lapid ranks fifth with 33 percent, while Senator Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. follows in sixth place with 32 percent.
Senators Pia Cayetano and former Senator Ping Lacson are tied for seventh and eighth place with 31 percent.
Senator Bato Dela Rosa ranks ninth with 30 percent, followed by TV personality Willie Revillame in tenth place.
Makati City Mayor Abby Binay, former Senator Manny Pacquiao and Las Piñas City Rep. Camille Villar are tied in 11th to 13th place with 27 percent each.
SWS noted that the sampling error margins are set at ±2.31 percent for national percentages, ±3.27 percent for Balance Luzon, and ±5.66 percent each for Metro Manila, Visayas and Mindanao.
SWS noted that candidates within the “Magic 12” maintained their rankings from the February survey, except for Lapid, who dropped two ranks.
Beyond the Top 13
Former Senators Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino placed 14th and 15th, with 24 percent and 21 percent respectively, followed by Senator Imee Marcos in 16th place with 19 percent.
Philip Salvador placed 17th, former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos ranked 18th, and Gringo Honasan is in 19th place. Senator Francis Tolentino and Colonel Bosita are in 20th and 21st place, respectively.
The SWS survey, commissioned by think tank Stratbase, was conducted between 15 to 20 March with 1,800 respondents aged 18 and above. They were asked who they would vote for as Senator if the elections were held today.
The survey included 66 candidates based on the revised ballots printed by the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
