A night of brotherhood and unity

The 9th founding anniversary of the Guerrero Brotherhood. This remarkable organization, which boasts a membership of 1,000, is a diverse tapestry of leaders, including incumbent senators, congressmen, Cabinet secretaries, PNP chiefs, local politicians, diplomats and prominent business figures in an elegant halls of the Manila Peninsula Hotel were alive with joy and camaraderie as 400 distinguished individuals gathered.

The evening was not just a festive celebration of the holiday season, but also a tribute to the strength and unity of the brotherhood. The event highlighted the unique stories and strengths of its members, each contributing to the collective journey of this influential group.

A special acknowledgment was given to Judge Ralph S. Lee, the founding member and Grand Guerrero, for his unwavering leadership and vision that have guided the organization. The 19 other esteemed members of the Grand Council were also recognized for their dedication and inspiration.

In a heartfelt moment, Consul David Ackerman shared his personal triumph of being elevated to the elite Grand Council, a privilege held by only 20 individuals among the extensive membership. “I embrace this responsibility with humility and a profound sense of duty, committed to serving our brotherhood and uplifting our community,” he stated.

Secretary Benhur Abalos, Senator Bong Revilla and other prominent political figures, also took the time to congratulate the newly elevated member, and the whole brotherhood, further emphasizing the spirit of support and unity that defines the Guerrero Brotherhood.

Reflecting on the essence of the gathering, Consul David Ackerman expressed a powerful sentiment: “Blood is thicker than water, but brotherhood is thicker than both. Brotherhood is the family that you get to choose!”

As the evening drew to a close, attendees were reminded to cherish the bonds forged within the brotherhood and to continue uplifting one another. The celebration was a testament to the strength of their unity and the positive impact they aspire to create in the world.

As the Guerrero Brotherhood looks to the future, the commitment to brotherhood and community remains steadfast, ensuring that their chosen family continues to thrive and make a difference.
