The Department of Labor and Employment (DoLE) celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Employees’ Compensation Commission (ECC), honoring workers with work-related disabilities and ECC personnel.
DoLE Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma, who also chairs the ECC Governing Board, commended ECC personnel for their dedication to serving persons with work-related disabilities during the event in Manila.
The celebration, themed “Limampung Taong Sulong sa Pagtulong,” highlighted the ECC’s commitment to providing benefits to public and private sector employees and their dependents in cases of work-related sickness, injury, disability or death through the Employees’ Compensation Program.
ECC executive director Kaima Via B. Velasquez stressed the event’s significance in recognizing the contributions of ECC employees and partners. She also outlined the organization’s vision for the next 50 years.
