The local government of Manila on Sunday announced that the Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, a public hospital, has achieved ISO certification.

Under the leadership of hospital director Dr. Ted Martin, the hospital, which primarily serves the medical needs of Tondo’s first district, attained the accreditation, marking a step toward improved operations and patient satisfaction.

“This is proof of their high standards in service quality and health care,” said Mayor Honey Lacuna, commending Martin and his staff for their dedication. “Under the leadership of Dr. Ted Martin, the head of Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center, the institution has been diligent in improving processes, training personnel, and strengthening systems that adhere to international standards.”

“Achieving ISO certification serves as proof of the hospital’s dedication to providing safe and quality service for every patient,” she added.

Martin said the accreditation is not just an award but also a reminder of their responsibility to continue serving the Tondo community with excellence.

“The ISO certification is a step toward a better future for our patients, employees, and the entire community. We will continue to promote initiatives to ensure the highest quality of care,” Martin said.

He stressed that Gat Andres Bonifacio Medical Center will continue offering service marked by genuine concern and leadership in health care.

Lacuna, on the other hand, expressed confidence that the achievement will be another milestone in the hospital’s mission to provide the best medical services for all Manila residents, especially those from Tondo.
