ABUCAY, Bataan — The Department of Science and Technology Region 3 (DoST3) and the Department of Education- Schools Division Office of Bataan (DepEd-Bataan) are eyeing to establish an Innovations for CEST Education Entry Point (iCEP) Hub in Abucay, Bataan.

According to a social media post on Wednesday, the DoST3 cited that the iCEP Hub is an initiative that aims to establish a Training Center in Bataan.

DoST3 added that hub will serve as a vital resource for educators and students hailing from various schools, providing them with the necessary skills to navigate and utilize state-of-the-art technologies including Robotics and 3D printing.

In a related matter, the DoST3 has turned-over the funding assistance to DepEd-Bataan for the acquisition of robotic kits and 3D printing equipment that will include necessary training thru its Provincial Science and Technology Office-Bataan.

“Through the seamless integration of these technologies into the educational framework, students stand to gain enriched learning experiences, honing essential skills such as problem-solving and digital literacy while gaining access to an abundance of innovative learning opportunities,” the DoST3 cited.

DoST3 added that personnel who will manage the hub will receive comprehensive training, ensuring the efficient operation of the facility and support for its users.

“By empowering educators and students, and nurturing community engagement, the iCEP Hub aspires to pave the way for a future of inclusive, forward-thinking education in Bataan, equipping its youth with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital era and beyond,” the DotST3 added.

The project was funded through the DoST3 Community Empowerment through Science and Technology Program, which was supported by Senator Joel Villanueva.
