The Philippine National Police-Drug Enforcement Group (PDEG) announced on Sunday that it has seized P25.6 million worth of illegal drugs in February.
PDEG acting chief Col. Rolando Cuya said the seized narcotics included 2.68 kilograms of shabu; two kilograms of dried marijuana; 30 milliliters of marijuana oil; and 95 ecstasy pills. Additionally, 35,002 marijuana plants were destroyed during the month.
Cuya said that PDEG operatives conducted 58 intelligence-driven operations, resulting in the arrest of 68 drug suspects, including 34 high-value targets, 19 street-level individuals, nine wanted persons, and six most wanted persons.
He also commended the special operations units for their performance.
“The relentless dedication and professionalism exhibited by our group have significantly contributed to impeding the proliferation of illegal drugs and ensuring the safety and well-being of our citizens,” Cuya said.
