Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna led the inauguration and blessing of a new police community precinct (PCP) that will serve at least 39 barangays in the second district of Tondo. She called on Manila Police District (MPD) personnel covering the area to continue their dedicated service to the people of Manila.
Lacuna, joined by Vice Mayor Yul Servo, Manila Police District director Brig. Gen. Arnold Thomas Ibay, and station commander Lt. Col. Anthony Coyle Olgado, among others, thanked Rep. Rolan “CRV” Valeriano for his support to the city.
“This new precinct is a testament to our continued commitment to peace and order. Congressman Valeriano is like a true brother to me — there has never been a time when I asked for his help and he did not grant it,” Lacuna said.
She added that, with Valeriano’s support, all PCPs in Manila’s second district and almost all barangay headquarters have been rehabilitated into modern facilities, along with the renovation of several sports complexes.
The new Tayuman police community precinct, located at Immaculada Street in Tayuman, Manila, will serve Barangays 50 to 61, 152 to 165, 217 and 218, and 221 to 227, all in the second district of Tondo.
“With this new facility, we expect our police officers assigned here to be more motivated and inspired to serve effectively and remain alert in their duties,” the mayor said.
