Nicole Kidman’s decades-long career has cemented her as one of the most respected and influential actresses of her generation. From Moulin Rouge! and The Others to her award-winning performances in The Hours, Big Little Lies, and Being the Ricardos, she has consistently embraced complex, powerful female roles. Her transformative performances have earned her an Academy Award, multiple Golden Globes, Emmy Awards, and Screen Actors Guild Awards.
Beyond acting, Kidman has made significant contributions as a producer, amplifying female-led stories through her production company, Blossom Films. In her Time interview, she shared a deeply personal struggle with breastfeeding, recalling her fear and helplessness in the days following childbirth. "I was terrified, asking, ‘What just happened? Where's my milk?’” she said, crediting her sister’s support and wisdom for helping her through the experience.
A dedicated advocate for women in entertainment, Kidman has championed better representation both in front of and behind the camera. Producing female-driven projects like Big Little Lies and The Undoing, she has helped reshape industry dynamics and spotlight women’s narratives. As a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, she has also worked on initiatives against domestic violence and for gender equality worldwide.
Kidman joins an esteemed list of 2025 Time Women of the Year honorees, including WNBA MVP A'ja Wilson, Olympic gymnast Jordan Chiles, actor Anna Sawai, artist Laufey, and reproductive rights activist Amanda Zurawski. The Time issue features three global covers, highlighting Kidman, Wilson, and Chiles as trailblazers in their respective fields
