Apple has launched the iPhone 16e, its latest low-cost model, marking a new addition to its flagship smartphone lineup.
Priced at $599, the iPhone 16e is designed to compete with mid-range Android smartphones while integrating Apple’s latest artificial intelligence technology.
Despite being the most affordable in the iPhone 16 series, the device boasts impressive battery life, lasting up to six hours longer than the iPhone 11 and 12 hours longer than previous iPhone SE models.
It also features a two-in-one camera system, an A18 chip that enhances performance and connectivity, and seamless integration of Apple Intelligence, allowing users to search for photos and videos using AI-powered descriptions.
Apple has positioned the device as a powerful yet affordable option, offering access to AI-driven features like ChatGPT integration while maintaining its signature sleek design and user-friendly experience.
The iPhone 16e also marks Apple’s shift away from the SE naming convention for its budget-friendly devices.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 16e begin on 21 February, with an official release set for 28 February.
