Inspiration is the beginning of imagination that leads to the process of creation. And through this, one’s artistry rises to the occasion. With a lot of dedication, perseverance and passion, a masterpiece is born.
Every aspiring designer or creative has a story to tell -- each with a conviction or statement narrative that offers, in most cases, a glimpse of their identities. It is in the tapestry and weaves that one can see the beauty of storytelling.Every stitch is made of blood, sweat and tears as piece by piece the process of completion is achieved. With pride, each designer revels in their masterpiece -- revealing themselves and welcoming you to a world of their own.
“Sinulid” (Thread) 2025,” the annual presentation of the College of Saint Benilde Fashion Design and Merchandising students, recently showcased 34 stories at a recently concluded graduation fashion show. Each student was tasked to make six pieces where two were chosen to be part of the runway and the best for the exhibition.
This modern-day platform for future designers with a notable institution of learning offers a fashion playground of potentials and infinite possibilities. The reputable academe proudly presents one masterpiece from each student to come up with a total of 34 for the exhibition.
Helmed by Dindin Araneta, Gabby Lichauco and Michael Salientes and written by Ria de Borja, the must-go artistic design showcase is a tapestry of unique and distinct stories where every thread counts.
