PLDT Global Corp., the international arm of PLDT Inc., has partnered with Saudi Arabia’s STC Bank to expand digital payment solutions and enhance cybersecurity measures.
The Pangilinan-led firm said over the weekend that the agreement enables the integration of STC Bank as a payment option into PLDT Global’s digital marketplace, Tindahan ni Bossing (TinBo).
Likewise, the bank will offer Vortex products on its platform, providing customers with more secure and flexible financial transactions.
“We are thrilled to join forces with STC Bank. This partnership will enable us to provide every Filipino and all customers in Saudi Arabia with cutting-edge digital solutions that meet their evolving needs.
Together, we are committed to empowering businesses and communities through reliable and innovative services,” PLDT Global president and CEO Albert Villa-Real said.
STC Bank CEO Nizar Altwaijri said the partnership is part of the company’s broader effort to drive financial inclusion through innovations.
“Our collaboration with PLDT Global aligns with our mission to enhance digital banking accessibility, ensuring seamless and efficient transactions for our customers, no matter how far they are from their home countries,” Altwaijri said.
Last month, PLDT Global renewed its exclusive partnership with Saudi Arabia’s stc Group for a second year.
The extended deal will use stc Group’s advanced technologies, including AI-powered routing, fraud prevention and network security. These innovations are seen to improve voice quality, reduce service disruptions, and optimize international calls across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and Africa.
