High-grade kush seized at CMEC

Operatives from the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP) and the NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group (NAIA-IADITG) successfully intercepted five inbound parcels at the Central Mail Exchange Center on Domestic Road, NAIA Complex, Pasay City last Wednesday.
The parcels contained suspected illegal drugs.
Authorities said the illegal substances were discovered after the parcels showed a suspicious image during a Bureau of Customs (BoC) X-ray inspection, which prompted a K-9 check. The K-9 sniffing dog positively identified the illegal drugs during narcotics detection.
A manual inspection by the BoC-NAIA, NAIA-IADITG and PNP-AVSEGROUP confirmed that the parcels contained approximately 1,535 grams of high-grade marijuana, also known as Kush, with an estimated street value of P2,149,000.
All seized illegal substances are currently in the custody of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Office in Quezon City for further investigation, analysis, and proper disposal.

“Through strong inter-agency collaboration, we will continue to protect our communities from the harm caused by illegal drugs,” he added.
