ArenaPlus champions Filipino athletes at the 2024 PSA awards

ArenaPlus, the country’s premier 24/7 sports entertainment platform, proudly joined the celebration of Filipino athletic excellence at the annual San Miguel Corporation-Philippine Sportswriters Association (SMC-PSA) Awards Night. The prestigious event took place on Monday, 28 January, at the Centennial Hall of the Manila Hotel, bringing together the nation’s top athletes, Olympians, and sports leaders.
A night of recognition and celebration
This year’s PSA Awards carried the theme "Golden Year, Golden Centenary," marking a historic milestone for the Philippine Sportswriters Association (PSA), the country’s oldest media organization dedicated to sports journalism. The event gathered key figures in Philippine sports, including Philippine Sports Commission (PSC) Chairman Richard “Dickie” Bachmann, Philippine Olympic Committee (POC) President Abraham “Bambol” Tolentino, and Senator Christopher “Bong” Go, Chairperson of the Senate Committee on Youth and Sports.

A major highlight of the night was the recognition of ArenaPlus ambassador Carlos Yulo, the double-gold Olympic gymnast who made history at the Paris Games. Yulo received the coveted Athlete of the Year award, cementing his legacy as one of the nation’s greatest gymnasts.
