Under the direction of its acting director, Brig. Gen. Christopher M. Abecia, the Philippine National Police Aviation Security Group (PNP-AVSEGROUP) honored Maj. Carol Deliva as she formally bowed out from the service during the “Salamat Kapatid Program” held over the weekend at the PNP-AVSEGROUP Complex in Pasay City.
According to the PNP-AVSEGROUP, the “Salamat Kapatid Program” is a long-standing tradition in the PNP that honors and recognizes uniformed personnel for their unwavering commitment to duty and selfless devotion.
In expressing his appreciation for Major Deliva’s nearly three decades of service, Abecia acknowledged her sacrifices, integrity and significant contributions to the organization.
“Your years of service serve as an inspiration to all uniformed personnel, reminding us of the honor and responsibility that come with wearing this badge. You are, and always will be, a part of the AVSEGROUP family,” Abecia said.
Relatives of those arrested in an alleged online scam farm in Makati City Friday night rushed to the headquarters of the Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) in Pasay City on Saturday.
According to the PAOCC, the agency learned that the detainees came from various areas and neighboring provinces. The visitors brought food and clothes for their loved ones who are currently incarcerated.
To keep things organized, visits were done by batch, and due to the number of visitors, each visit was limited to 30 minutes. Authorities said about 100 Filipinos were arrested in the operation.
They could face charges of fraud and other violations of cybercrime laws.
