A 39-year-old drug suspect identified as alias “Francis” awas arrested in a police operation in Pasay City the other day. This came after the police implemented a search warrant that led to the seizure of 25 grams of suspected shabu valued at P170,000.
The operation was conducted by SDEU operatives of the Pasay City Police Station, in coordination with Sub-Station 6 Malibay personnel.
The team implemented Search Warrant 2025-001, issued by Judge Rowena Nieves A. Tan of the Regional Trial Court Branch 118, Pasay City, on 30 January.
During the search, law enforcement officers seized various pieces of evidence, including one medium-sized ziplock transparent plastic sachet and five small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets.
All seized items contained a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu, with a total weight of approximately 25 grams and an estimated street value of P170,000.
Also recovered were a pink and dark blue pouch, a P500 bill, and two P100 bills. The confiscated drug evidence was properly documented and will be turned over to the SPD Forensic Unit for qualitative and quantitative analysis.
The operation was conducted in compliance with the Supreme Court’s rules on the use of body-worn cameras, ensuring transparency and accountability.
The arrested suspect was brought to the Drug Enforcement Unit of the Pasay CPS for documentation and proper disposition.
A criminal complaint for violation of Section 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) has been filed against the suspect before the Office of the City Prosecutor of Pasay City for inquest proceedings.
