West Zone concessionaire Maynilad Water Services, Inc. (Maynilad) was awarded two Silver Anvils at the 2025 Anvil Awards, held Tuesday at the Manila Hotel, for its communications initiatives aimed at reducing non-revenue water (NRW).
The “Mark the 39% - Maynilad’s NRW Reduction Campaign” earned a Silver Anvil in the Cause-Related/Public Awareness/Advocacy category. The campaign raised awareness about water losses caused by leaks and illegal connections, highlighting how addressing these issues contributes to water security.
Meanwhile, the “Be a Leak Warrior - NRW Campaign” won under the Best Use of Influencer Marketing category. This initiative enlisted digital influencers to amplify the message of vigilance against leaks, encouraging the public to report issues and actively participate in water conservation.
Marie Antonette de Ocampo, Maynilad’s Head of Corporate Affairs and Communication, expressed appreciation for the recognition, saying the awards reinforce the company’s commitment to meaningful communications initiatives that engage the public in reducing water losses.
"We remain steadfast in our mission to educate communities about the value of water and the importance of working together to protect this vital resource,” she said.
The Anvil Awards, presented annually by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), celebrate outstanding public relations programs that exemplify excellence in strategy, execution, and impact. These wins affirm Maynilad’s dedication to using effective communication as part of its strategy to enhance water service delivery and sustainability.
