
An estimated P102,000 worth of shabu was recovered in an anti-drug operation that resulted in the arrest of two suspects in Barangay Tejeros, Makati City last 30 January 2025.
The two male drug suspects, identified as alias “Arnel” and alias “Tom” were apprehended by operatives from the Station Drug Enforcement Unit (SDEU) of the Makati City Police Station, in coordination with Sub-Station 1 personnel, at Barangay Tejeros.
During the operation, an undercover police officer purchased a heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet containing suspected shabu, weighing approximately 5 grams, from alias “Arnel.”
Following their arrest, authorities confiscated additional evidence from “Arnel” which include 10 heat-sealed plastic sachets containing approximately 9 grams of suspected shabu, a genuine P500 bill used as buy-bust money, 15 pieces of P500 boodle money, and a cellular phone.
Alias “Tom,” on the other hand, was found in possession of one small heat-sealed plastic sachet containing approximately 1 gram of suspected shabu, along with a cellular phone.
The total estimated weight of the seized suspected shabu was 15 grams, with a Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of P102,000. The seized drug evidence was turned over to the Southern Police District Forensic Unit for chemical analysis. The suspects are currently detained at the Makati City Police Station and will face charges for violating Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
