Philippine Health Insurance Corp. (PhilHealth) members enrolled in the Yaman ng Kalusugan Program (YAKAP) can request transfers to their preferred clinics during the fourth quarter of the year, the agency announced Saturday.

Under the new rules, beneficiaries who have not yet undergone their First Patient Encounter (FPE) may request a clinic transfer at any time of the year. Approved requests take effect immediately.

Those who have completed their FPE may request a transfer only from October to December, with approved changes taking effect on 1 January of the following year.

To request a transfer, members must visit any PhilHealth Local Health Insurance Office for identity verification and liveness checking through the PhilHealth Check Utility.

Applicants unable to complete the verification, including those whose Philippine Identification System registration has not been finalized, may present a valid government-issued ID or other acceptable documents and a completed Primary Care Selection Form.

Members who cannot personally file their requests may authorize a representative by submitting an authorization letter and valid IDs for both parties.
