Catriona Gray reveals liposuction journey boosted her confidence

Former Miss Universe Catriona Gray recently revealed that she underwent a liposuction procedure to enhance her confidence, joining fellow beauty queens Celeste Cortesi and Michelle Marquez Dee as ambassadors for celebrity beauty doctor Vicki Belo.

In a video released by Belo, Gray shared that her main goal was toning and tightening rather than weight loss.

“I even tried lipo for the first time here, at the back of my arms,” Gray revealed. “Toning and tightening was really my goal.”

She emphasized that the subtle enhancement helped her feel more confident in how she carries herself.

“You can see that’s just a little thing that I did, and I’m able to carry myself in a certain way. Because I feel that, and that, you know, translates to confidence for me,” she added.

Aside from Gray, Miss Universe Philippines 2022 Celeste Cortesi also underwent the same procedure before competing in Miss Universe in 2022.

“It was during Miss Universe, before I left for the US,” Cortesi recalled, saying she had the procedure done on her arms just two weeks before the competition.

Meanwhile, Miss Universe Philippines 2023 Michelle Marquez Dee shared that she had liposuction on a different area of her body.

“I did get lipo in the back, specifically around my waist. And yeah, it’s just a very small portion,” Dee admitted.

She explained that the decision came after struggling with stubborn fat despite her efforts to maintain her physique.

“The thing is, as you grow up, we realize that we have stubborn areas… Of course, I tried my best to lose weight, but then it became really stubborn, and you just need that extra love,” she added.

For Belo, these procedures are not just about aesthetics but about helping women feel their best.

“We aim to make everyone feel like their best selves, and it really is an honor to be able to do that,” Belo wrote.

Liposuction is a cosmetic procedure that removes unwanted fat from specific parts of the body, commonly done to enhance body contour and boost confidence.

Gray, Cortesi, and Dee’s openness about their beauty enhancements aims to break the stigma surrounding cosmetic procedures and encourage self-confidence in all forms.
