Pole vaulter Ernest John Obiena started his indoor season on a high note with a silver medal International Jump Meeting Cottbus in Germany on Thursday early Thursday.
Obiena went over 5.65 meters as he finsihed in the podium in his first tournament of the year.
This was also the 29-year-old pole vaulter's first competition since the Paris Olynpics last August after choosing to focus on his recovery.
Paris Summer Games silver medalist Sam Kendricks of the United States won the competition after going over 5.75 meters.
