American rockstars Maroon 5 performed to a full house tonight at the SM Mall of Asia Arena. In what can only be described as one epic sing-along, the band, led by frontman Adam Levine, served up their biggest hits from the very first drumbeat.
Even before Levine could sing the first lyric, the crowd broke out in chorus, perfectly in tune. “We all know what great singers Filipinos are. The loudest Maroon 5 concerts are the ones we have here in Manila” said Levine during the show. Tonight, the audience did not disappoint. Songs like This Love, Moves Like Jagger, and Payphone among others, got the crowd up on their feet and dancing.
Levine shared how Memories is an important song for the band, recalling friends and family lost, prompting concertgoers to lift their lit phones in the air, creating a moving tribute, along with a special acoustic version of She will Be Loved.
It may have been Maroon 5’s fifth concert in Manila, but it’s clear that the Philippines still has so much love for these rockers.
