Kaunlad Pinoy, an organization dedicated to uplifting Filipino communities, concluded a series of impactful events held from 20 to 24 January across various locations in the Philippines.
With the participation of local leaders, NGOs and senior citizens, the events focused on financial literacy, livelihood development and community empowerment.
Kaunlad Pinoy’s journey began in Manila on 20 January, where two lucky winners — Teodoro Salut Jr. of Intramuros and Benjie Limboc of Pandacan — received chest freezers stocked with frozen goods as part of a raffle draw held during the Kaagapay Christmas Party in December 2024.
Led by Kaunlad Pinoy’s Kuya Choi, the event emphasized the organization’s commitment to supporting small business owners.
“We will continue to provide assistance to ensure a more comfortable livelihood for our fellow countrymen,” Kuya Choi said.
The next stop was Bonifacio, Misamis Occidental, on 21 January, where Kaunlad Pinoy collaborated with local leaders to promote financial literacy.
Through engaging discussions, the organization shared its mission to create equal opportunities for economic growth and societal improvement. The event emphasized how financial education drives rural progress and the vital role it plays in empowering communities.
Kaunlad Pinoy, which is number 133 on the party-list ballot, then returned to Manila as part of Yorme’s Choice for a meet-and-greet event in Mandaluyong on 22 January, hosted by former Manila Mayor Isko Moreno. The gathering highlighted their shared vision of uplifting the city’s economy and ensuring equal opportunities for all.
“Kaunlad Pinoy is a partner in the goal of Yorme Isko Moreno for a more prosperous future,” a representative from Kaunlad Pinoy said, reaffirming their commitment to nationwide progress.
Partnering with NGOs
On 23 January, Kaunlad Pinoy extended its reach to Parañaque City, collaborating with organizations such as OSCA, Hope, Love, Agapay and NPWD. The event focused on livelihood programs and advocacy efforts aimed at fostering growth among the participating NGOs.
The final stop was in Pulang Lupa Dos, Las Piñas City, on 24 January, where Kaunlad Pinoy conducted a “Basic Voter Education” session with barangay leaders and councilors. The discussions focused on the importance of responsible voting, urging participants to research candidates’ platforms, qualifications, and track records to make informeAd decisions.
Kaunlad Pinoy’s week of events highlighted its unwavering commitment to fostering economic growth, community empowerment and social awareness. By engaging with local leaders, organizations and citizens, the initiatives not only promoted financial literacy and livelihood development but also helped pave the way for a more informed and united Filipino community.
