Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto on Monday thanked the City Council for extending the business permit renewal deadline to 31 January 2025.
The announcement was made on the official Facebook Page of the Pasig City Public Information Office.
During the weekly flag-raising ceremony, Sotto also commended the Office of the City Administrator for ensuring the smooth operation of the business permit and licensing department and other regulatory offices despite the challenges posed by the relocation of city hall operations to a temporary location.
Sotto highlighted that the number of job order employees in the city government has decreased as many have been promoted to casual or permanent positions.
He encouraged departments to review their budget allocations for casual positions for remaining long-tenured job order personnel.
The mayor stressed that the number of permanent employees now exceeds the combined number of job order and casual employees, a significant achievement for the city.
Sotto also announced that job order employees received a one-time gratuity pay of no more than P7,000 as authorized by Administrative Order 28, series of 2024.
