
BAGUIO CITY — Residents and visitors in Baguio City felt the morning chill as temperatures dropped on Monday.
As of 5:00 a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) Baguio weather station recorded a temperature of 13.4 degrees Celsius, with an expected maximum of 24 degrees Celsius for the day.
The PAGASA BSU Agromet Station in La Trinidad, Benguet recorded a temperature of 12.8 degrees Celsius, warmer than the 9.4 degrees Celsius recorded in the municipality on Sunday. In Mount Santo Tomas, Tuba, Benguet, the PAGASA Benguet Radar Station recorded the lowest temperature at 10.0 degrees Celsius.
Health authorities are advising the public to stay warm and wear thicker clothing to prevent illnesses. PAGASA forecasts that the cold temperatures will persist until February or March.
