A playground of inflatables, touted to be the biggest in the Philippines and in the world, was inaugurated on 17 January. Boogie Bounce sprawls on The Garden of Blue Bay Walk, a 1.3-hectare park and commercial hub at the corner of Macapagal Avenue and EDSA Extension in Pasay City.
Operated by Happy Bubble Planet, Inc., Boogie Bounce has 11 inflatable features and facilities with an arcade theme for kids, families and barkadas to enjoy. The largest among them is Retro Rush, an obstacle course with 40 inflatable obstacles. The Disco Slide, which has three lanes, is said to have a height equivalent to four storeys. Other large features are Tiny Town, a little village where kids five years old and below can explore, and Boogie Bounce, a thousand-square meter dance floor.
Yellow Muncher, a maze where one can collect fruits to collect and is chased by a ghostly gang; Galactic Snatcher, where one must evade being snatched by an alien; Crazy Ape, where one climbs a hill full of barrels; Flashback 4, inspired by the game Connect 4, where one must use strategy and speed; Dizzy Dots, where one can test balance and flexibility; Hippo Champ; and Super Shroom.
Aside from the inflatables, the park also has a stationary bike station, recreational facilities for toddlers, and stalls selling food and souvenirs. The whole park can also be rented for special events such as birthday celebrations and parties.
Aside from being a place for fun, Boogie Bounce offers health benefits, according to Yzl D. Cruz, president of Happy Bubble Planet, Inc.
“This isn’t just another fun destination, it’s a celebration of balance, the balance we need in our fast-paced, sometimes chaotic lives. Yes, we have that. In an era with stress where cortisol levels seem to climb with every passing minute. It’s easy to forget the importance of joy, movement and wellness. Here at Boogie Bounce, we’ve created a space where fun, fitness, and relaxation come together,” she said during the launch program.
“As we bounce, jump, and laugh with family and friends, we’re not just having a good time, we’re also improving our health. Through laughter and exercise, we release stress, we reset our bodies, and we boost our spirits in a world where so much is demanding our attention. Boogie Bounce offers us the gift of a pause, a chance to switch off from the grind and reconnect with what really matters, which is our happiness, our well-being, and the people we love,” she explained. “It’s not just about having fun, it’s about promoting a sustainable lifestyle. By encouraging outdoor activity, we’re not only fostering healthier communities, we’re also contributing to broader movement for sustainability. Here, every jump and every bounce is a step toward a better, more balanced life, and a cleaner, greener future.”
Cruz also hopes that Boogie Bounce will also be a tourist attraction.
“As we build this exciting new destination, we’re optimistic to support Pasay City and the greater National Capital Region with high hopes that Boogie Bounce will be a major driver for tourism, drawing visitors not just from the local community, but from all over the Philippines and abroad,” she enthused. “We are adding to the rich tapestry of the attractions that make Pasay City a key hub for both leisure and business, contributing to the local economy, creating jobs, and offering new experiences for those seeking fun, health, and joy.”
Present during opening event were Pasay City mayor Emi Calixto-Rubiano, who expressed her gratitude and highlighted Boogie Bounce’s role in strengthening the city’s reputation as a destination for tourism and leisure, and councilor Mark Calixto who deemed Boogie Bounce as a valuable addition to Pasay’s recreational landscape, commending its potential to boost the city’s vibrancy and draw visitors of all ages.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Cruz; Calixto-Rubiano; councilors Mark and Joey Calixto; Dr. Lawrence Li Tan, president of the Philippine Amusement and Entertainment Corporation; Ann Francis Tan, director of Happy Bubble Planet, Inc.; Jose Mari Banzon, president of Federal Land; Charmaine N. Bauzon, assistant vice presidient and Commercial Business Group head of Federal Land; and Catherine Agustin, assistant regional director of NCR of the Department of Tourism.
