The traditional Japanese Sake ceremony took place during the launching and lowering of the Tunnel Boring Machine at the Metro Manila Subway Project Contract Package 103: Camp Aguinaldo Station in Quezon City, on Thursday, 16 January 2025. General Romeo Brawner Jr., Chief of Staff of the Philippine Armed Forces, and BGEn Armand Arevalo, Commander of the GHQ and HSC AFP, along with DOTR Undersecretary Jeremy Regino, JICA chief representative Takema Sakamoto, and Japanese Embassy Economic Minister Daisuke Nihei, led the Railways delegation.
