Quezon City rolls out electric buses for free rides amid post-New Year air concerns
The free ride Q City Buses were officially launched on Thursday, coinciding with New Year's Eve, as Metro Manila experienced unhealthy to very unhealthy air quality following New Year's festivities on Wednesday, 1 January 2024.

On Friday, 3 January 2024, one of the eight brand-new electric buses operated by the Quezon City Government, known as the 'Electric Q City Bus,' began picking up passengers along Kalayaan Avenue in Quezon City and transporting them to Cubao.
