The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Sunday reported that it has conducted a series of seven-weeklong community engagement activities from 20 to 26 December 2024.
QCPD acting director P/Col. Melecio Buslig Jr. said the initiatives were organized by the District Community Affairs and Development Division, District Mobile Force Battalion, police stations 1-16, and their Community Affairs Sections and have reached 4,658 beneficiaries.
Throughout the week, personnel conducted lectures on Community Anti-Terrorism Awareness, anti-illegal drugs, crime prevention safety tips, the Safe Spaces Act, bomb awareness, Anti-Bullying Act, RA 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Children, RA 8353, human rights, gender sensitivity, and other special laws.
They also cascaded the downloading of the eGovPH app related to PNP LERIS (Law Enforcement Reporting Information System), a tool that police officers used for immediate crime response.
Livelihood programs and libreng-gupit services were also conducted, along with the distribution of IEC materials, food packs, and hot meals to beneficiaries.
