Operatives from the Manila Police District arrested a vendor for selling illegal firecrackers during an operation in Sampaloc on Saturday.

The suspect — identified as Mark Joseph Oropesa — was apprehended around 8:45 p.m. Saturday along Road 10 Street, near corner Leo Street, Barangay 578, Zone 56, Sampaloc, Manila.

Police conducting inspections to ensure public safety and compliance with the city’s anti-firecracker campaign encountered Oropesa openly selling banned items during a routine patrol.
