Davao City provides new vehicles

Davao City — The local government here handed over 38 new Disaster and Emergency vehicles which can be used by the different departments.

The vehicles were blessed in simple ceremonies at the San Pedro Square, City Hall Drive, at 8 a.m. on Friday.

Blessed and handed over were three units of ACLS (Advance Cardiac Life Support) ambulances for the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office; four units of Wheel Type Excavator, three units of 10-Wheeler Dump Truck, four units of 6-Wheeler Dump Trucks and one unit of 6-Wheeler MPV for the City Engineers Office.

It also includes one van and three dump trucks for the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO); three Mobile Emergency vehicles for the City Transport and Traffic Management Office (CTTMO); one fiber boat of the Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP); one fiber boat for Task Force Davao; and five units of Disaster Truck, four units of 4X4 vehicles and four fiber boats for the Davao City Police Office (DCPO).

At least 35 of these vehicles were purchased under the Disaster Fund of the local government unit, while three were from the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO) budget.

Present during the turnover and blessing ceremonies were CDRRMO head Alfredo Baloran, Harvey James Lantiscse of the CIO/CMO, Jed Clamor of the DCPO representing Hansel Marantan, and representatives from TF Davao, CTTMO, CENRO and the BFP.
