Senatorial aspirant Luis "Manong Chavit" Singson intensified his efforts to implement reforms this week, engaging with grassroots leaders, local officials, and members of the media across Central Luzon and Western Mindanao. Singson shared his vision for financial inclusion, job creation, and modernization through initiatives like VBank, electric vehicle promotion, and the Chavit 500 universal basic income program.
Singson addressed the Circulation Management Association of the Philippines (CMAP) during their annual Christmas gathering. He highlighted the critical role of media in promoting transparency and accountability, calling for collaboration in nation-building. He also made a donation to CMAP, ensuring a festive celebration for the organization.
In Clark, Singson met with the Angeles City Association of Barangay Councils, focusing on how VBank could provide financial access to underserved communities. Later in Candaba, Pampanga, he joined Mayor Rene Maglaque at a TUPAD payout event, discussing job creation and economic reform. Singson capped the day at the GMA Sparkle Christmas Party in Bonifacio Global City, connecting with media and entertainment figures to discuss his plans for modernizing public transportation and boosting economic activities.
Singson started his day in Dipolog City with a press conference at Orchid Hotel, outlining his economic agenda, including reducing bureaucratic red tape to attract investments in Mindanao. He then traveled to Zamboanga City, meeting with Mayor John Dalipe, transport groups, and barangay leaders. Discussions centered on public transportation modernization and making VBank accessible to more Filipinos.
Singson concluded his day at the 105th Grand Alumni Homecoming of Western Mindanao State University (WMSU), emphasizing his vision for industrialization and local economic growth.
