On 12 December 2024, Ambassador ENDO Kazuya delivered a speech at the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ (AFP) annual forum, Talakayang Mabini.
In his speech, Ambassador Endo highlighted the critical importance of Japan-Philippines security and defense cooperation and the role they play in safeguarding peace and stability across the Indo-Pacific region.
Reflecting on the past year, characterized by deepened ties between like-minded countries, Ambassador Endo reaffirmed Japan’s steadfast commitment to maintaining and strengthening a free and open international order grounded in the rule of law, citing the signing of the Japan-Philippines Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) and Official Security Assistance (OSA) FY 2024 project as pivotal milestones.
