Khanmigo, an artificial intelligence-powered teaching and learning assistant, is now free to all teachers and learners nationwide, Education Secretary Sonny Angara said during the recent thanksgiving event of the Department of Education and Khan Academy Philippines.
“Teachers, students, and everyone watching, I am thrilled to announce that Khanmigo and Khanmigo teacher training are now available for free to all teachers across the Philippines!” Education Secretary Sonny Angara said in his closing remarks.
Developed by Khan Academy, Khanmigo is a teaching and learning assistance platform that aims to lighten teachers’ burdens by taking on challenging tasks like creating lesson plans. The platform allows learners to ask questions and clarify their current lessons.
“Thanks to Khan Academy’s AI-powered tutor, Khanmigo, this future is closer than we think. This innovation not only enhances understanding but helps learners master concepts in a way that is both engaging and effective,” Angara said.
Teachers also have access to key features, such as real-time tracking of learner usage of the platform, where teachers can track what searches and prompts the learners made throughout their lesson. Khanmigo can also catch plagiarism and cheating and is equipped to give feedback on the learners’ work.
