The local government of Manila announced that the payout of the city’s allowances for persons with disability, minors with disability (MWDs) and solo parents — which began on 6 December — will continue until 26 December 2024.
This comes after Manila Mayor Honey Lacuna issued the directive to distribute the cash assistances.
Manila Department of Social Welfare chief Re Fugoso said that those concerned may inquire with their barangays or visit the social media sites of the MDSW or the Manila Public Information Office.
There, the schedule of payouts for every barangay and district may be found for the proper guidance of the claimants.
It was learned that the allowances can be claimed in designated venues. Beneficiaries who fail to show up in their barangays may still claim their allowances at Manila City Hall from 26 December to the end of the year.
