The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) distributed ₱121 million in cash assistance to 1,307 beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) Program in Albay Province.
Accoridng to the Labor department, each TUPAD beneficiary received a total of ₱3,950 for 10 days of work.

Regional Director Imelda F. Gatinao assured the public of DOLE's unwavering commitment to rehabilitate and rebuild vulnerable sectors significantly impacted by the storms.
“Kayo po ay makatitiyak na ang DOLE ay mananatiling totoo sa aming pangako na tulungan namin ang mga nasa mahihinang sektor na makabangon muli (You can be sure that DOLE will remain true to our promise to help those in the weaker sectors to get back on their feet),” Gatinao said.
“Sama-sama nating ayusin at tulungan bumangon muli ang ating mga komunidad na labis na naapektuhan ng sunod-sunod na bagyo (Together, let's repair and help our communities that have been greatly affected by the series of typhoons rise again),” she added.
The beneficiaries participated in various community development projects, including clearing operations, street and sidewalk sweeping, cleaning of public facilities, and community gardening.
The TUPAD program provides emergency employment for disadvantaged workers, offering 10 to 30 days of community work, especially during times of disaster and calamities, to enable beneficiaries to improve and rehabilitate their communities.
