The Land Transportation Office (LTO) recently conducted a three-day Training for Trainers workshop for its key law enforcement personnel nationwide which aims to enhance road safety by strictly enforcing traffic rules and regulations, especially during the upcoming holiday season.
LTO chief assistant secretary Atty. Vigor D. Mendoza II said the training was designed to upgrade the knowledge and skills of law enforcement officers, enabling them to conduct their own training programs within their respective regions and provinces.
“Our goal is to continuously improve the knowledge and skills of our law enforcement personnel to encourage motorists to behave responsibly and follow traffic rules,” Mendoza said.
The training program, facilitated by the Traffic Safety Division under the Law Enforcement Service, focused on implementing the provisions of Memorandum Circular No. VDM-2024-2019, which outlines revised guidelines for the deputization of LTO deputies and deputized agents.
Meantime, LTO executive director Greg Pua Jr. stressed the importance of keeping LTO enforcers updated on traffic rules and regulations to ensure the safety of all road users.
