President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. wishes to have more time with his family, saying he hardly gets to see his loved ones as a Chief Executive.

Marcos said that his "simple" New Year's Resolution would be spending time with his family as it gives him peace of mind.

"It's my wish to spend more time with my family. I hardly see them because, of course, I'm busy, and they're busy too," Marcos said.

"(Seeing my family) brings immense relief, as it calms me down, of course, and it seems like your thoughts become clearer when you have time with your family and with all your friends and loved ones," he added.

However, the President acknowledged that his time is limited due to the many tasks at hand, which is why he desires more time for his family.

At the same time, Marcos mentioned that even though he sets New Year's resolutions each year, he won't change his previous habits, such as monitoring his diet, exercising, and taking care of his health to reduce stress and maintain a strong body.

Marcos did, however, get Covid-19 three times throughout his lifetime. He tested positive for the virus in March 2020, July 2022 and December 2023.

"I won't change my previous habits of monitoring my diet and taking care of my health. We always exercise to reduce stress, keep our bodies strong even if faced with Covid again," Marcos said.

Apart from exercising, which he claims is the best "stress reliever" for him, the President said he carefully watches what he eats, typically sticking to vegetables and fish.

In one of his vlogs last year, Marcos said skipping breakfast strengthens his body.

"I do fasting most of the time. I don't eat breakfast. After eating dinner, I don't eat until lunchtime. I've become accustomed to that routine, and it helps strengthen my body," Marcos said.
