The City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) of Las Piñas held a Social Pension Cash Payout event for indigent senior citizens on Monday, 20 November.
The event, which took place at the Verdant Covered Court in Barangay Pamplona Tres, was part of the local government's ongoing commitment to support the elderly community within the city.
Vice Mayor April Aguilar graced the occasion, underscoring the importance of the city's senior citizens and the administration's dedication to their welfare. Her presence also highlighted the city government's efforts to enhance social services, particularly for the vulnerable sectors of Las Piñas.
The payout program, which was carefully organized, ensured a smooth and efficient process for the beneficiaries. Senior citizens from various parts of the city gathered, adhering to health and safety protocols, to receive their social pensions. This financial assistance is a lifeline for many elderly residents who rely on it for their basic needs.
The CSWDO of Las Piñas has been proactive in implementing programs that cater to the needs of the elderly. This event is just one of the many initiatives that demonstrate the city's commitment to inclusivity and support for all its residents, regardless of age.
