Blackwater has yet to get word whether Marc Pingris will accept the offer to serve as its coach in the Philippine Basketball Association.

Bossing team manager Johnson Martines told Daily Tribune that the former Gilas Pilipinas stalwart has yet to decide whether he will accept a bench role for the Bossing.

"We're still waiting," Martines said.

In a previous report, Martines said they offered two options for Pingris. The first was to serve as deputy of head coach Jeffrey Cariaso and, second, was to serve as playing-assistant coach, similar to the setup of Chris Ross at San Miguel Beer.

But Pingris clarified that he only wants to serve as an assistant coach so he will have more time playing with other former PBA stars like JJ Helterbrand, Rico Maierhofer and KG Cañaleta in the PBA Moto Club, a touring team that plays exhibition matches in various parts of the country and abroad.

The team also competes in various leagues, including the Maharlika Pilipinas Basketball League, where it donned the colors of the Imus Banderas.

Aside from the PBA Moto Club, Pingris will also play for Biñan in the Pilipinas Super League, casting doubts on his possible stint with Blackwater.
