The Committee to Protect Journalists or CPJ published a report on Tuesday saying that 53 journalists and media workers have been killed in the conflict between Israel and Hamas.
Since the 7 October Hamas attack, CPJ has reported that about 46 Palestinians, four Israelis, and three Lebanese from the media sector were killed.
Moreover, CPJ stressed that about 18 have been arrested, 11 are injured, and three journalists are still missing since the start of the conflict.
"Journalists in Gaza face particularly high risks as they try to cover the conflict during the Israeli ground assault, including devastating Israeli airstrikes, disrupted communications, supply shortages, and extensive power outages," the NGO said on its website.
The attack of the terrorist group Hamas has been the deadliest in Israel's history resulting in 1,200 people killed, mostly civilians, during the cross-border raids on 7 October.
Israel responded to the attacks of Hamas by launching a relentless bombing campaign and ground offensive in Gaza, which is ruled by Hamas.
Tens of thousands of people, including children, were said to be slain in the war.
