
Balanga City, Bataan — Authorities reported that a student died while two others were seriously injured after a passenger bus rammed a transport terminal here on Monday evening.
The Balanga City Police Station identified the lone fatality as Jen Orviel Dinglasan Titolo, a 20-year-old male student from the Bataan Peninsula State University and a resident of Barangay Cabcaben in Mariveles.
Initial reports disclosed that a passenger bus with plate number 030807 was parked at the Bataan Public Transport Terminal at SM City Bataan when it accelerated and rammed the passenger waiting area where the victim and a few other passengers were sitting.
Police identified one of the injured individuals as Christopher Poblete, a resident of Samal, who was hit by debris after the terminal wall collapsed due to the impact.
The victims were taken to the Bataan General Hospital in Balanga City.
Authorities also have in custody the bus driver identified as Cesar Flerio Abella Jr., a resident of Barangay Cabcaben in Mariveles.
The family of Titolo are grieving over the loss of the architecture student, citing that he was a kind-hearted soul.
Meantime, the BPSU has released a statement regarding Titolo's death, citing that the future architect is a dedicated and enthusiastic student.
