Focus crimes in QC fall by 39.47%

The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) on Monday reported a decrease in "eight focus crimes" in the city.
QCPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Redrico Maranan said the eight focus crimes — murder, homicide, physical injury, rape, theft, robbery, car theft, and motorcycle theft — recorded 23 incidents from 6 to 12 November as compared to the 38 incidents recorded from 30 October to 5 November this year.
"This shows the decrease by 15 incidents or 39.47 percent," Maranan said.
He added that this was the result of the intensified campaign against all forms of criminality by the police force of QCPD.
Maranan said the Crime Clearance Efficiency (CCE) was recorded to be above 95 percent, while the Crime Solution Efficiency (CSE) increased by 91.3 percent.
Meanwhile, the street crimes in Quezon City also decreased, from the previous week, the QCPD recorded a decrease of eight incidents or 72.73 percent.
Maranan said this accomplishment is the result of the intensified police visibility and police presence of QCPD personnel particularly the Task Force-District Anti-Crime Response Team and the Bike Patrollers.
"I am happy to share these accomplishments to our QCitizens that through our intensified efforts on anti criminality operations, enhanced police presence and cooperation of the public, we can assure a 24/7 safety in Quezon City. Ang buong pwersa ng QCPD ay patuloy na magbabantay sa lahat ng sulok ng ating komunidad upang matiyak ang kaligtasan ng bawat mamamayan at mabigyan ng sapat na serbisyo na nararapat sa kanila," Maranan said, as he commended the men and women of QCPD for their untiring efforts in performing their duties and responsibilities as police officers.
