PUERTO PRINCESA CITY — The city port here received the arrival of the MS Silver Whisper early Thursday morning, initiating the series of six cruise ship arrivals expected this November.

Operated by Silversea Cruises, this luxury liner anchored at the port slightly after 7:00 a.m., transporting roughly 382 travelers and an approximately 300-member crew.

Demetrio Alvior Jr., the chief of the City Tourism Department (CTD), said that the guests will tour key attractions in Puerto Princesa, such as the underground river in Barangay Cabayugan. Following this, they will depart to their next port of call in Coron.

"This November won't just see the MS Silver Whisper; five more vessels are scheduled. And December will welcome the MV Norwegian Jewel and the MV Aida Bella. The influx will keep us on our toes, but it's a bustling pace we look forward to," he said.

The city anticipates heightened activity with upcoming ship arrivals slated for the dates 4, 8, 16, 18, and 28 November.

The lineup includes the MV Norwegian Jewel, hosting about 2,500 people; the MS Westerdam, with space for up to 1,964 individuals; and the MS Star Breeze, set to bring around 327 visitors.

Alvior said that as the year concludes, the wave of tourists won't just be from flights; many will come through the city's port, as well.

Puerto Princesa's tourism leadership encourages its staff to provide exemplary service, showcasing the renowned Filipino hospitality.
