The APMC event was not just a platform for competition, but a measure of the country's standing in the regional motorsport landscape.
AAP Motor Sport head Rikki Dy-Liacco weighed in on the performance of the Filipino drivers, stating: "While we were well-represented with a formidable lineup for the different categories, competition was tough and the results served as a yardstick of where we are within the region."
"Nonetheless, it confirms the competitive level of our local drivers which we will then develop to transform into podium finishes at the next APMC event."
The championship drew participants from 13 of the 18 countries in the Asia-Pacific Region, signifying the importance of this event in the motorsport calendar.
Among the distinguished attendees were FIA deputy president for Sport Robert Reid, FIA Asia Pacific vice president for Sport Dr. Lung Nien Lee, Motorsports Association of Malaysia President Tan Sri Mokhzani Mahathir, and Malaysia Deputy Minister of Youth & Sports YB Adam Adli.
An initiative of national sporting authorities across the Asia Pacific, the APMC seeks to nurture grassroots motorsport, offering an affordable platform for nations to compete on an international stage.
This is especially significant for young and novice drivers aspiring to etch their names in the annals of motorsport history.
The adherence to regulations set by MAM and alignment with the FIA International Sporting Code ensured a fair and standardized competition across the karting sprint, karting slalom, gymkhana, esports and rally events.
The journey of the Filipino drivers received accolades from AAP trustee and Motor Sport Committee chair Mandy Eduque, who expressed: "Despite facing formidable competition, our drivers displayed unwavering determination and raced their hearts out against some of the region's top talents.
"Team Philippines, AAP stands firmly behind your motor sport journey, supporting you every step of the way."
