President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. announced today, 4 October, that the price caps on rice have been lifted.
"As of today, we are lifting the price caps on rice for the regular milled rice and the well-milled rice. We are removing controls," he told reporters.
Marcos had imposed the price caps in early September to curb inflation.
