BAGUIO CITY — The local government of Quirino province on Monday is urging its residents to celebrate the week-long "Panagdadapun Festival 2023" in an environment-friendly fashion and to be responsible enough in caring for the ecology.
"Once again, the Province aims for a Zero Waste Event. Therefore, we are inviting every Quirinian to be at the forefront of this advocacy and encourage the festival goers to be ecologically responsible in their generation of waste," said the Quirino LGU.
It added that with the advocacy, each can make a big difference to step towards a cleaner environment.
Some of the activities in the festival are the opening Thanksgiving eucharistic mass celebration and also ecumenical thanksgiving service followed by a job fair. There will be also a free dental and medical as well as vaccination against Covid-19 offered to the Quirinians.
Dubbed as the "Forest Heartland of Cagayan Valley," Quirino Province is a destination for eco-travelers with its waterfalls, rock formations, river gorges and limestone caves, among other natural wonders.
