Kapamilya actress Alexa Ilacad reposted a viral social media post about an upcoming sequel of "Booba 2", volunteering herself to play the role of Booba's daughter.

It was no less than Booba herself, Rufa Mae Quinto, who spilled on the upcoming sequel of the movie on social media.

Viva Films director Darryl Yap confirmed that he will be writing and directing the movie's part two, titled "Booba Jr.", starring Rufa Mae.

However, Direk Yap rued the "impossibility" to cast Alexa in the film. In his lengthy post on Facebook, the director explained:

"Ang napakaganda at napakahusay na si Alexa Ilacad po (sa pagkakaalam ko) ay Star Magic o under ABSCBN, bagamat tagahanga po ako ng aktres, dahil rin sa kanyang tapang at pagiging totoo laban sa mga pinagdaan nya sa buhay—naiimposiblehan po ako sa pagkakataon na makasama ko siya sa isang proyekto dahil tila may secret mandate ang management nila na NO TO DARRYL YAP."

But he later discovered that Alexa is currently not under contract with Star Magic. Therefore, in his postscript, he stated, "ok, so wala palang movie contract si Alexia sa Star; pwede siya ipahiram."
